The Two Rivers Fire Department (TRFD) is a combination fire department providing emergency and non-emergency services for related fire and emergency medical service incidents. The department also supports the Manitowoc County Sheriffs Department S.O.S. Team, provides paramedic intercepts to rural services, inter-facility transports from hospitals, and mutual aid to neighboring fire and EMS departments.

Emergency Operations

The Emergency Operations Bureau administers several primary elements of the department. These elements include training, safety, anti-terrorism and disaster preparedness, dispatching, and the general coordination of the paid-on-call (POC) fire fighters. CPR Classes

The City of Two Rivers Fire Department serves Manitowoc County as a Training Center for the American Heart Association and provides the following classes:

* Basic Life Support Classes (healthcare providers, dentist office, skilled nursing, assisted living facilities) These classes include BLS CPR Instructor, BLS Health Care Provider, BLS Heart Saver, BLS CPR for Friends and Family, BLS for Schools, BLS Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and BLS First Aid/CPR/AED/Environmental Emergencies.

Fire Department's First Aid Classes

The City of Two Rivers Fire Department offers American Heart Association First Aid classes. The purpose of the First Aid class is to teach rescuers the knowledge and skills they need to recognize emergencies, and how to give first aid until the rescue squad arrives. This course meets OSHA's first aid requirements. For more information you can call (920)793-5521.

Fire Department's Station Tours

The City of Two Rivers Fire Department offers an open invitation to individuals to tour our facility. Tours are usually conducted by appointment during normal business hours. The Fire Fighters give station tours to many different groups of people. The tours range from a five minute look at our apparatus, to tours that take the group throughout the entire station. Kids can see Fire Fighters dress up in their fire fighting gear, and at times can even watch fire fighters cook meals. If children are interested in a tour an adult must accompany them.

Fire Department's Blood Pressure Screening

High blood pressure is a serious medical condition. If left undetected, it can cause other health problems. To help recognize the health risks high blood pressure can cause, the Two Rivers Fire Department offers free blood pressure screening in hopes that someone with high blood pressure will recognize the problem and seek medical advice from their doctor. The Two Rivers Fire Department offers blood pressure readings every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you feel you may have a problem with your blood pressure, please feel free to visit us.
