Public Survey to Guide Decision on Beach Concessions Funding


Included within the 2026 community investment plan is $255,000 for the Neshotah Beach Concessions building project. It is important to note that including this amount in the investment plan does not obligate the City to proceed with the renovation project. If Council later determines not to move forward with the project, the $255,000 could be held for up to one year and applied to offset 2027 community investments.

The next step for the Neshotah Beach Concessions project will be public discussions with Council after resident input has been fully collected. A public opinion survey is currently underway and a hardcopy version will be included in the March newsletter to broaden participation. We anticipate having all survey data aggregated, in addition to competitive construction bids, and ready to share with Council towards the end of April, at which time City Staff can return with a more informed discussion and recommendation.
