We're excited to provide a fantastic experience for the community at the new Central Park synthetic ice-skating loop. Here is the basic information you need to know to have a safe and enjoyable time at the rink:

Days of Operation

• The ice rink is tentatively scheduled to open for the season mid-November. Look-up back at this website and/or the Parks and Recreation Facebook page to find updates.
• We currently do not have a final day for the skating season planned. We will remove the ice rink based on usage, staff availability, and weather, likely in late February or early March.

Public Skating Hours

• The ice rink is available to the public to bring their own skates during standard park hours, which are from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Rink Maintenance and Restrooms

• Our dedicated Parks and Recreation Department will actively maintain the ice rink by keeping it clear of water, ice, and snow. This maintenance takes place between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, seven days a week, except for holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Restrooms will also be available during the same hours.

Ice Skate Rental Schedule

• We offer ice skating rentals on select dates. Please check the monthly schedule for availability. The December schedule is below.
• The January schedule will be set in mid- December.

Rental Details: Skates can be rented in 1.5-hour increments, and any skates rented within an hour and a half of closure must be returned by the closing time.

Bring Your Own Skates: You are welcome to bring your own skates during the rental timeframe.

Rental Payment

• Onsite ice skate rentals will only be available via credit or debit card payments. If you prefer to pay with cash, you can visit the Parks and Recreation office during standard business hours.

Food and Drink Concessions

• Please note that there will be no food or drink concessions available, except during special events.

Rates and Policies

• Rental Duration: Skate rentals are limited to 1.5 hours.
• Rental Rate: $5 per pair of skates.
• Late Fee: A $25 per hour late fee will be applied after a 15-minute grace period takes place following the 1.5-hour rental time.
• Age Requirement: Individuals must be 16 years of age to rent skates on their own. Individuals 15 or younger must have a parent or guardian present.
• Walking with Skates: Renters are not allowed to walk with skates in areas not covered by rubber matting.
• Skate Requirement: No one is permitted on the rink without ice skates.
• Child Carrying: Skaters are not allowed to carry children while skating.
• Skating Safety: Young skaters and beginners should remain in the center of the ice. Skating in a manner that endangers or interferes with other skaters' safety or pleasure is strictly forbidden. Prohibited Actions: Roughness, excessive speeding, skating against the crowd, or weaving through other skaters is prohibited. Abusive behavior and language will not be tolerated. No horseplay while on the ice, including TAG, chain skating, throwing snowballs, racing, and intentionally sliding.
• Food and Drink: Eating or drinking is not permitted on the ice rink.
• No Pets: No dogs (except Service Animals/Seeing Eye dogs) or pets of any kind are permitted on the ice rink.
• No Smoking: Smoking is not allowed.
• Youth Supervision: Youth 15 and under must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
