Tree Removal Services – Two Rivers Parks & Recreation

Introduction

The City of Two Rivers Parks & Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced tree removal contractors to remove identified trees throughout the City of Two Rivers. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete removal of designated trees, including disposal of all debris, stump grinding, and thorough site clean-up.

Project Scope

  • Number of Trees: 66 identified trees (a detailed list with locations is available).
  •  Services Required:
    • Felling and complete removal of the trees.
    • Hauling and proper disposal or recycling of all tree material, including limbs, trunks, and brush.
    • Stump grinding for each removed tree to a depth of at least 8-12 inches below ground level.
    • Site clean-up to leave the area in a safe and tidy condition.

Budget

  • The total budget for this project is $40,000.
  • The City seeks to maximize the number of trees removed within this budget.
  • Bidders must submit a per-tree cost schedule and total project cost based on the full list of 66 trees, understanding that the City may award the contract for as many trees as can be removed within the $40,000 budget.

Contractor Requirements

  • Must hold a current Tree Removal Contractor License with the City of Two Rivers.
  • Valid general business license and insurance, including general liability and workers’ compensation coverage.
  • Demonstrated experience with municipal or large-scale tree removal projects.
  • Adequate staffing and equipment to complete the work safely and efficiently.
  • Compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Proposal Submission

Proposals must include:

  1. Company name, contact information, and primary contact person.
  2. Proof of current City of Two Rivers Tree Removal Contractor License.
  3. Proof of licensing and insurance.
  4. Detailed cost proposal:
    1. Cost per tree (itemized if possible by tree size or site difficulty but not required).
    2. Lump sum cost for all 66 trees.
    3. Estimated timeline for completion of the work.
    4. References from at least two similar projects completed in the past five years.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Lowest total cost and ability to maximize the number of trees removed within the $40,000 budget.
  • Contractor experience and qualifications.
  • Possession of required City of Two Rivers licensing.
  • Proposed timeline and capacity to complete the project.
  • Safety record and compliance with regulations.
