2026 Summer Kayak Series
Explore our local waterways this summer with the 2026 Summer Kayak Series! Whether you're brand new to kayaking or an experienced paddler, this series offers a fun, safe, and scenic way to get out on the water. Each session highlights a unique experience — from beginner instruction to specialty paddles featuring shipwrecks, wetlands, birding, and sunsets. Registration begins March 1.
Introduction to Kayaking: Program geared to beginners who want to take a fun and relaxed paddle along the West Twin River with a focus on learning the sport of kayaking.

Lake Michigan Shipwreck Paddle: Join us at Point Beach State Park for a paddle out to the Continental, a steam-powered freighter that ran aground in 1904. This paddle is contingent on both weather and lake conditions, and for advanced paddlers only. This paddle will launch from Rawley Point and includes a trek down to the water with our kayaks and paddling through lake conditions.

Wetland Ecology Paddle: Kelsey Bell, Program Director of Bird City Wisconsin, will join us for an early morning paddle up the East Twin River to observe the area’s abundant birdlife. Some paddling experience recommended.
- July 25 | 9:00–11:30 AM – Vets Park
Morning Birding Paddle: Join guest guide, Titus Seilheimer, UW Sea Grant Fisheries Outreach Specialist for a paddle up the West Twin and learn about our beautiful wetlands. Some paddling experience recommended.
- August 22 | 7:00–9:30 AM – Paddlers Park
Sunset Paddle: Join us for a journey into the sunset up the West Twin River. Some paddling experience recommended.

Paddle Palooza

Join us for a FREE family fun day for paddlers, and non-paddlers! Stay in the loop—follow our Facebook Event for the latest updates! More details coming soon.
- Kids can learn how to fish with the Two Rivers High School Fishing Club, free climbing wall, explore nature activities, and play kayaking games!
- Bring your own kayak or canoe to float the Twin Rivers, or register to borrow one free (limited availability).
