Youth Services Coordinator

Full-Time Position (includes some nights and weekends)

The Lester Public Library is seeking an energetic and creative Youth Services Coordinator to lead library services for children and teens from birth through high school.

This position oversees youth collections, plans and presents literacy-based programs, supervises youth services staff, and develops partnerships with schools and community organizations. The Youth Services Coordinator also serves on the library’s management team and helps support the library’s mission to read, discover, connect, and enrich the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MLIS and/or education-related degree preferred
• Experience working with children and teens required
• Public library youth services experience preferred
• Knowledge of children’s and young adult literature
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Salary: $66,206/year, depending on qualifications and experience.
