Welcome

Thank you and welcome to the City of Two Rivers Fire Department's Web Site. I encourage you to spend some time on the site and learn more about who we are and what we do. The members of the TRFD are very proud to provide and deliver the many services identified on the site. I believe you will find it interesting and useful.

As you browse the site you will see that for a small department we are an active, progressive organization that offers a wide array of services beyond the traditional fire suppression activities. These services are identified in our Mission Statement (click on Forms and Documents link left side of page). Although we are identified as a "Fire Department" the term "Fire and Rescue Services" more appropriately applies and describes the main functions we provide. In addition to fire suppression (extinguishing fires), we provide advance life support (ALS) emergency medical services (EMS) at a paramedic level. Furthermore, we support other elements of our mission through Public Education, Fire Prevention and Code Enforcement.

As a department, we continually accept the challenge to provide the expected level of services within the community within a constrained budget process while exploring cost effective alternatives. We constantly strive to upgrade our efficiency of emergency response capabilities through education and training opportunities. This is only accomplished by a highly motivated, dedicated, and professional staff of men and women who stand ready to serve the residents of our city and those who visit our wonderful community on the lake.

As the Fire Chief, I am proud to work for the City of Two Rivers and lead an elite group of individuals, who together comprise an organization second to none. Should you ever need our services, we will respond in a professional manner with a high degree of care and compassion. Once again, thank you for visiting our site. As you continue to browse, I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information available in addition to what I've mentioned here.

Yours in Fire Prevention,

David Murack
