Artist Melissa Blount leads a social justice sewing circle. Explore the ways textile arts have contributed to the women’s empowerment movement.

No previous sewing skills required. All materials provided. The event is free.

Part of the museum's BIWOC (Black, Indigenous, Women of Color) 2024 summit. Bringing their amazing energy and artistic vision back to Hamilton, Blount, Jenn Graves and Desiree Aspiras are on site for two weeks to print, offer a workshop and on-site gallery talk, and conduct this sewing circle.
