As I have reported in earlier columns, the City has engaged a Madison-based consulting firm to assist with economic development strategic planning.
The team from Redevelopment Resources, LLC has conducted research on the community. They have met so far with over 85 local business and community representatives, individually and in focus groups.
A future public forum is planned to help discuss their thoughts on how Two Rivers can best position itself for a prosperous future.
As part of the process of gathering information, we would like for residents to respond to a series of questions that have been compiled by Redevelopment Resources, in consultation with the City.
Through the use of a new format developed by a Wisconsin-based company called POLCO, you will be able to provide honest and confidential feedback to these questions. Neither your names nor any other personally identifiable information will be shared with anyone.
The on-line survey tool will require that you log into the system and register with your name and address. POLCO uses current voter registration rolls to verify you as a Two Rivers resident which will help us better understand overall feedback and ideas.
(While POLCO’s system accepts and logs responses by individuals NOT on the voter rolls, their responses will be excluded from any official tallies.)
You can access the survey at https://polco.us/groups/city/two-rivers-wi. You will be prompted to log in and answer the questions.
The survey will be “rolled out” in three installments. An initial group of questions has been posted this week. A second group of questions will be added next Wednesday, June 14, and a third group on Wednesday, June 21.
You can answer questions as they become available on POLCO’s site, or wait and answer all 50 or so questions “in one sitting.”
All questions will be available for your responses on the POLCO site until Friday, June 30, at which time the survey will be closed.
This survey is an important component of the City’s overall strategic planning process, so we hope that you will take the time to respond.
Watch for a report on survey results, later this summer.
