A one-overdue upgrade of the audio-visual technology in the Council Chambers at City Hall is near completion.
At the City Council meeting on Monday of this week, the new sound system and new camera were in use, providing much-improved audio and video feed to Charter Cable. Feedback from viewers was generally positive.
At the April 3 Council meeting, we will begin live-streaming of City Council meetings on the internet, and will likewise begin cloud storage of meetings for later viewing. At long last, the ability to view City Council meetings will be available to the broader community, not just Charter Cable subscribers.
Other improvements include a new, high resolution projector and screen, and video monitors at the Council dais, making it easier for everyone to view presentations at Council meetings.
Expect more visual presentations to be incorporated into our meetings as the result.
