The City Council at its March 5 meeting is expected to give final approval for a ten-year borrowing of just over $2 million for capital projects included in the 2018 City Budget. These non-utility projects are being funded with tax-supported general obligation (G.O.) debt.

Electric Workers Complete Mutual Aid Mission
Lineworkers from our Electric Utility recently returned from a mutual aid mission in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where they assisted in restoring electric services wiped out by hurricanes Irma and Maria in the Fall of 2017.

City Lineworkers Assist Virgin Islands Power Restoration
Two city lineworkers and a utility bucket truck departed Wisconsin last Saturday, bound for St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands along with lineworkers from municipal utilities in Marshfield, Rice Lake, Arcadia, Fennimore, Clintonville and Reedsburg.
