The Finance Department staff assures that the City of Two Rivers revenues are received, managed, disbursed, accounted for, and reported in a manner that meets all legal requirements. Finance Department staff also assures that all expenditures are in compliance with the budget as adopted by the City Council.
The Finance Department performs responsible administrative and supervisory work in planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the administration of the City of Two Rivers finances and functions in accordance with State of Wisconsin Statutes, local ordinances, and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) rules and regulations. Work is reviewed through conferences with the City manager and by independent audits. The Finance Department is also responsible for all services provided under the following work units:
