Judicial Branch of Government - handles all Municipal and non-criminal traffic citations.
The Two Rivers Municipal Court is located in the Two Rivers City Hall, downtown, near 17th and Washington Streets (State Hwy 42).

The Municipal Court for the City of Two Rivers was established to serve the citizens of this community and to alleviate the problem of the high caseload in the Circuit Court system. Other advantages of having a local Municipal Court system are; fines are lower, you don't have to travel to Manitowoc to plead your case, the Judge is elected by the citizens of the community, and he lives and works in Two Rivers.

The court is self-sustaining as the fines and almost all the court costs remains with the City. The rest of the money assessed on the fines is paid to Manitowoc County and the State to support the Crime Lab, Jail, OWI education, and Domestic Violence programs.

The Court presently is operated on a part-time basis by the: Municipal Judge, Municipal Court Clerk, and the Prosecuting City Attorney. An Assistant to the Clerk helps with clerical duties.

* Initial Hearings are scheduled each Wednesday morning
* Pre-trials are scheduled the first Wednesday of each month
* Trials are scheduled the last Wednesday of each month

(All dates are subject to change due to a holiday, unavailability of the Judge, or some other pertinent reason.)

Location of the court for Initial Hearings, Pre-trials, and Trials is on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, Room 202. City Hall is located at 1717 East Park Street, Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
